This blog is designed to give you an insight into the person behind the website. Freelance design for me has always been about giving brands a personal touch and to be someone that companies can reach out and feel comfortable talking to.
So I’ll start by introducing myself, I am Emily, a graphic designer who loves all things dog & Lake District related! I started off as an in-house designer learning many different skill sets from print advertisements and exhibition stands to online adverts and social media designs.
I have previously worked in-house for Smiths Gore (now taken over by Savills), The British Belt Company and Marmalade Insurance. This wide range of company branding has allowed me to adapt my styling and given me the ability to work to a range of company brand guidelines and target audience rather than my own personal style. Design is always about functionality, the artwork must target the audience and achieve its goal, otherwise it has no purpose.
I started as a full time freelancer in January 2018 and am currently building my client list. I work on small one off projects to larger ongoing projects and everything in between. There isn’t a job too big or too small, and having a wide skill set means I can tackle even the most obscure of projects.
